I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Mistry and her staff.! I first consulted Dr. Mistry 2 years ago after complications from a DIEP flap breast reconstruction (another surgeon in San Francisco) left me with a wide jagged and tethered scar across my lower abdomen. Dr. Mistry methodically analyzed what had likely occurred and offered me hope that she could repair it. She was also very realistic about what she could and could not fix. A few months later , I underwent the revision and she did a beautiful job . She was able to release the adhesions and I was left with just a thin line scar that is now starting to fade. She also touched up the shape of my reconstructed breasts which had developed small dog ears and keloid scars on the side.
She continues to follow me closely postoperatively. Her office is in a small renovated house near St.lukes downtown hospital and offers a very personal private experience that is lacking in so many larger clinics today. I have recommended her wholeheartedly to other breast cancer patients and anyone else I know who is considering cosmetic surgery.
My only regret is that I didn’t go to her first when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and was evaluating all the surgical and reconstruction options.
